NGAI TAMANUHIRI

Working alongside the crew from Ngai Tamanuhiri to plant the coastal cliffs next to Young Nicks Head/Te Kurī-a-Pāoa is a great example of community collaboration. Planting in coastal areas can be particularly challenging due to harsh exposed environmental conditions such as strong winds, salt spray, and poor soil quality. Working with Ngai Tamanuhiri and sharing knowledge and expertise, not only helped to restore the local environment, but also provided valuable education and skills for the crew.
